Presentation outline:

DAY 1 – The presentation explains why this is an Adlerian approach, the materials to be used working with the parents, and the first instruction set for the parents; Knowing yourself.

DAY 2 – Using Adlerian ideas of behavior and the simple approach of “Ages and Stages”, the second set of instructions involve giving the parents ways to understand and work with their children. There will be places through the workshop where a dialogue can take place for the presenter and participants to share their insights and wisdom gained from their practices.

Day 3 – Expanding on Adlerian approaches of parents working with children and themselves, the participants will go through some new tools and exercises and ideas with some hands on use and engage in more dialogue with the presenter and the rest of the participants to share experiences and provide other diverse ideas.

Key learning points:

The 3 part workshop presents an approach the participants can use in working with parents through a workshop presentation or one-on-one with the professional and parents and/or children. Refer to outline above. A questionnaire will be presented at the end of the workshop for the participants to evaluate their learning experience.
