The Parenting Safe Children workshop offers valuable information, ideas, and tools to help you prevent child sexual abuse in your home and community! The workshop covers three prevention areas and empowers you to discuss body-safety with children and caregivers in a positive and effective manner. This 4.0 hour workshop is for parents, relatives, educators, therapists—anyone who cares about children!

Registration fees for Parenting Safe Children workshops are non-refundable and non-transferable to other workshop dates. We do not issue credits or refunds for any reason. If you cannot attend the workshop for which you have registered, we encourage you to find a friend or colleague to take your place. If you cannot find a replacement, you forfeit your registration fee.

Feather Berkower is a 27-year veteran in child sexual abuse prevention. Using a community-based approach, she has trained over 100,000 school children, parents, and professionals! Her highly-regarded workshop, Parenting Safe Children, empowers adults to keep children safe from sexual abuse. She presents across the country in schools, youth organizations, parenting groups, places of faith, and businesses. Feather makes a difficult topic less scary, and consistently impresses audiences with her knowledge, commitment, and warmth.
Parenting Safe Children helped to inspire Off Limits, a parenting book that will change the way you think about keeping kids safe. Off Limits presents easy-to-follow guidelines for making children, homes, and communities off limits to child sexual abusers.
Before founding Parenting Safe Children, Feather managed a regional chapter of the Child Assault Prevention Program, which delivers school-based curricula to protect children and teens from bullying and sexual assault.
Feather is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and holds a Master’s of Social Welfare from the University of California, Berkeley. She conducts media interviews, workshops, and private consultations throughout the United States regarding issues of child sexual abuse and safety.
Feather lives in Colorado with her husband. She’s an avid outdoorswoman and enjoys hiking and riding her horse.
