Rex SmithTimes Union Editor Rex Smith will lead a panel discussion on the Capital Region’s Technology Landscape, featuring top executives representing the winning companies in the Center for Economic Growth’s 2013 Technology Innovation Awards. The panel will take place from 5:30-6:30 at the SEFCU Arena.

 

Panelists will be:

  • Vikram AgrawalVikram Agrawal, President/CEO and Co-founder, Etransmedia Technology, Inc.
    Etransmedia is at the forefront of providing services and software for the health care industry, and has made it easier for hospitals and doctor’s offices to update and share patient files, process payments and communicate with other providers while protecting the patient’s privacy and security. They have also created an easier way for the patient to interact with the provider or access their medical information. Listed as one of the nation’s fastest growing companies, Etransmedia is committed to growing in the Tech Valley and forging relationships throughout the region.
  • Mark McKinneyMark McKinney, CEO, Hixny
    The Health Care Information Exchange of New York, also known as Hixny, is a collaboration of health plans, hospitals, and physician practices that offers secure, real time electronic access to comprehensive patient health records, connecting providers, patients and organizations to better coordinate care and reduce healthcare costs. Hixny is a national leader in health information exchange and has become the single place where members of the healthcare community in 17 counties of the Capital Region and Northern New York exchange healthcare information.
  • Michael HoltzmanMichael Holtzman, CTO, WhoSay, Inc.
    WhoSay, Inc. provides a media management platform to celebrities to help them engage with their fans by creating personalized content across all major social media platforms and several mainstream media partners. WhoSay has more than 1,500 celebrity members on the platform who in total have more than a billion social media followers. The WhoSay platform allows celebrities an efficient and quick way to distribute their media while retaining copyright of the content. It’s most recent round of funding will allow WhoSay to build out its technology and expand in the United States and abroad.
  • Thomas TongueTom Tongue, president of the Tech Valley Center of Gravity
    The Tech Valley Center of Gravity nurtures innovation and entrepreneurship. This makerspace facilitates access to machines and tools that innovators need to create prototypes that they otherwise would not have access to. In addition to public workshops, the Center of Gravity creates a collaborative environment that encourages interaction between innovators.
