Event Details

Join us for PAIRINGS, an afternoon of premium sake tasting with carefully paired bites, designed to delight the palate and nourish the soul!  Sakes, both domestic and international, have been brought in just for this event and painstakingly paired with delectibles created by master chefs.

Featuring Royce Mori, executive chef at The Red Crane in Cupertino; Shiro Kubota, owner & chef at Kubota and Gombei Restaurants, San Jose Japantown; and Steve Futagaki of Sushi Confidential in Campbell and formerly the executive chef at Bushido Izakaya in Mountain View.

Yu-Ai Kai Senior Center, a 503(c)(3) non-profit organization located in the historic Japantown San Jose, is committed to serving seniors with a well-balanced senior day care program, a nutritious lunch service, social services, and a variety of classes, activities and trips for seniors, designed around our Healthy Aging Initiative.

Serving our seniors with Friendship & Love since 1974,  Yu-Ai Kai currently serves 3,000+ seniors annuallyWhile our roots are in Japanese / Japanese American culture and tradition, the programs and services are open to any senior in our community.
