Paint & Pray - Wednesday Morning
Wednesday, July 9, 2014 from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM (PDT)
San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
Paint and Pray workshops are hosted by local artists to raise funds and spend time in prayer for the founder of Red Oak Ministries and the women she works to set free from human trafficking in Asia. During each 2.5-hour workshop, participants will be given a simple canvas-painting project to complete.
For this series, Monica Wood and Jane Chapman will guide and instruct participants to create four canvases similar to the one displayed above. You don’t need to be an artist. You don’t even need to know how to draw a stick figure. These talented artists have designed easy painting projects that we do with their help. One of the small paintings will be kept by you as a reminder to pray for Red Oak Ministries and all those involved in freeing the women caught up in human trafficking as well as the women themselves. The remaining paintings will be commissioned before you come to the class by friends, neighbors or family for a minimum donation to Red Oak Ministries of $25.00. You can also choose to keep all of your paintings to give as gifts.
Please bring collected donations in the form of checks made payable to 'Millennium Relief and Development' to ensure all donors receive their tax deduction receipt.
Jane and Monica will be working with Paint and Pray to host a second workshop the evening of Thursday, July 10th. Other local artists are teaming up with Paint and Pray for additional workshops throughout 2014. Stay in touch and informed via our Facebook page: www.facebook.com/paintandpray!
