This series focuses on the discussion of women-related topics hoping to facilitate the exchange and sharing of different cultural ideas and experiences. We invite guest speakers and use different media to enrich our discussion (movies, TV shows, articles, book excerpts, etc.).
In November, we will be discussing one of the TED talks by Kavita Ramdas about women between Western-style empowerment and traditional culture. We will watch the talk together during our meeting, and leave it open to anyone to check it out ahead of time.
If you wish to bring your children along, they are certainly welcome as long as they do not interfere with the conversation. Light refreshments will be provided.
