Overview of the iPad as an Instructional Tool (K-12- all content areas)
The iPad provides exciting opportunities for learning and teaching. This session will serve as an introductory experience for educators just beginning to use the iPad in their classrooms. Participants will become familiar with the basic features of the device, apps for educational use and strategies for classroom implementation. Practical tips for utilizing the iPad to meet a variety of goals will be shared throughout the session.
Kristine Scharaldi is an experienced teacher and outstanding staff developer in the area of technology integration in K-12 classrooms, who is back to Kean by popular demand.
Kristine’s workshops will be held from 8:00-2:00 in Hutchinson Hall Room 306 at the Kean University, Union Campus. A continental breakfast will be served and participants may bring a brown bag lunch.
We strongly encourage registrants to “bring your own device” (BYOD), but some iPads are available, if needed. Note that workshop sessions are limited to 20-25 registrants to allow for ongoing interactive hands-on experiences.
