Osceola County is holding an Open House in regards to the new preliminary flood hazard maps for the Poinciana area.
· The new maps mark the first time in 10 years that a comprehensive re-examination of the Osceola County flood zones have been conducted.
· The maps are only preliminary, this open house gives residents the chance to review the changes and a process is in place for requested changes.
· Will FEMA staff be at this open house? No, this open house will be County staff only.
What exactly will happen at this open house?
Identify your current flood zone and if any change has occurred.
If a change has occurred you will visit a station to discuss appeals and protests to the change.
