Employee Branding That Rocks
How you attract, hire, train, develop and treat your front line employees is commonly known as the one true strategy to provide great guest service. In lieu of leaders doing all of the work themselves, a specific culture must be created & fostered to secure commitment from the employees to stick around and deliver the desired service. This takes time and a lot of work.
This interactive session is effectively designed to highlight best practices in every area of an employee’s life cycle and to develop an internal environment as robust as that of the external culture for the consumer.
Jim Knight, of KnightSpeaker, will use the visceral backdrop of Hard Rock International and his 21-year run with that brand as a platform to discuss key strategies to create, maintain or revive a desired employee environment, regardless of the current state.
Key concepts will include:
The time allotted is chock-a-block full of visual Power Point slides, out-of-the-box thinking, book quotes, videos, personal stories, industry statistics and an interactive handout for some real “take aways”…all told through the spirit of Rock ‘n’ Roll.
If you’re a fan of unpredictability & thinking about things differently, come hear what all the noise is about.
Roger Lear, President, OrlandoJobs.com
Roger has long been a leader in the executive search and internet recruiting industry. Since 1987, he has recruited for some of Central Florida's (as well as the nation's) finest companies. In today's internet driven recruiting environment, Roger is dedicated to understanding effects internet recruiting and social media have on companies' hiring goals.
The “Adoption” of Social Media
When a birth mother puts their child up for adoption in Florida, they are typically asked to screen the prospective adoptive parents and then ultimately choose the family. In this very unique session, Roger Lear will take you through his personal journey of the adoption process (as and adoptee and as a parent with an adopted son). Birth mothers (“angels”) have enormous pressure to find parents who will raise their baby. Adoption agencies and lawyers have to screen and present potential parents to the birth mother. The role social media plays in this process can be the difference maker determining what prospective parents get a child. Maybe not as life changing as the adoption of a baby, the role social media plays in who you hire can also be a defining factor for a prospective candidate. In either situation, big decisions are being made based sometimes on nothing else but what your Facebook page looks like. You will leave this session with a great understanding of the adoption process, insight on how social media screening and recruiting may be hurting your organization and a list of social media recruiting initiatives that are working at other companies.
