Saturday, October 5, 2013 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM (EDT)
Orienteering is a sport in which you use a map and compass to find your way across unfamiliar terrain. Whether you have been doing it for years or are interested in learning this important skill, join us for a day of orienteering at Shelburne Farms.
A one-hour clinic will be held for families just learning at 9am, and all orienteering courses will start at 10am (beginner, intermediate, and advanced courses). Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult.
Registration is required for the clinic portion of this event. Walk-ins are welcome to run the course.
Shelburne Farms is a nonprofit education organization whose mission is to cultivate a conservation ethic for a sustainable future. Our campus is a 1,400-acre working farm and National Historic Landmark on the shores of Lake Champlain in Shelburne, Vermont.
