The Orange County Citizen Corps, in conjunction with the Orange County Office of Emergency Management will be hosting the annual Faith Based Breakfast.
Each year, this event is organized in order to bring together the faith based community in Orange County with the goal of educating and preparing faith based organizations of all religious affiliations in disaster prevention, preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation. While your organization may not have a direct role before, during, or after a disaster, you can better help prepare the whole community you serve through education and support.
This year’s focus, “Helping those who cannot help themselves,” will stress the importance of preparing the homeless, special needs, single parent households, minority populations, and other groups of individuals that may be at a greater risk during and after a disaster or, who may be less prepared.

Orange County Citizen Corps offers education, training and volunteer services to the local communities. The overall goal is to involve citizens and help them better prepare communities and neighborhoods to make a difference.
