The annual event offers a forum for attendees to meet contractors, suppliers, and OCPS buyers and decision makers.. Local minority business support organizations, such as the African American and Asian Chambers, Black Business Investment (BBIF) and Hispanic Initiative (HBIF) funds, and the Florida Minority Supplier Development Council (FMSDC) are also exhibitors at the event providing current information about their programs and availability to assist and support minority and small businesses.

The Office of Business Opportunity (OBO) is a unit within Procurement Services. OBO staff strives to increase the level of participation of small, minority- and woman-owned, and veteran-owned businesses in providing goods and services to Orange County Public Schools. Through implementation, management, and monitoring of the district's Minority and Women-owned Business Enterprise (MWBE), Local Developing Business (LDB) and Veteran Business Enterprise programs, the Office of Business Opportunity seeks to ensure OCPS purchases from small and diversely-owned businesses.
