About the NYTECH UX Design Group

The NYTECH UX Mobile Design Group is led by Charles L. Mauro, CHFP, founder of MauroNewMedia and a sought after UX expert. He consults on a regular basis for Fortune 500 clients and leading start-ups on strategic issues of screen-based customer experience design, usability, interactive brand development and fixed to virtual migration of products and services. The UX Design Group consistently delivers the best science-based UX talks and seminars presented by compelling speakers from around the country. Third Session: Opportunities for Mobile UX in Complex Business Models

To say the internet and mobile computing has disrupted traditional print media will hardly be breaking news to anyone.  How do you take these challenges and turn them into opportunities?  Join David Fine and Tim Reis for a discussion about recent mobile product design challenges and the products that have resulted from them.  

Tim Reis will also walk attendees through The Mobile Playbook and the five questions every business should be asking in order to win with mobile.


David Fine, Director of UX, Time Inc. - David Fine, Director of UX, Time Inc  David Fine is Director of User Experience on the Strategic Planning & Business Analysis team within Time Inc.'s Technology organization.  David has over 20 years experience designing and developing software products.  Previous to coming to Time Inc David was Manager of Strategic Design at Sony Corporation of America and most recently Director of Online Marketing at a Wall Street financial communications company.  In his career, he has held several product development roles including Product Design Director, Information Architect, Project Manager and Senior Business Analyst.

Tim Reis, Head of Mobile & Social Solutions - Americas, Google Tim Reis has been leading the mobile and social teams at Google since 2010. Reis has been at Google for more than four years, holding a variety of other positions. In addition to working for Plum TV and Forbes Magazine, Reis also founded T. Reis & Company, Inc., an independent advertising sales firm representing magazines. Reis is a former member of the Board of Directors of the Promotion Marketing Association and co-chair of the PMA’s Digital Center of Excellence
