Monday, December 2 – Tuesday, December 3, 2013

8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (EST) each day (this is a two-day workshop)

Human resources professionals and hiring officials play key roles in improving Federal recruitment, but often lack basic recruitment skills and strategies that will enable them to seek out top talent from all segments of society. Join OPM’s Recruitment Policy and Outreach team as they guide you through six practical modules designed to advance strategic and tactical recruiting knowledge and skills at all levels!

Who Should Attend: All Federal human resources professionals who advise hiring officials on recruitment and hiring; Federal hiring officials responsible for recruiting and building high performing teams; other Federal employees who participate in recruiting and outreach activities (e.g., special emphasis, subject matter experts, campus recruiters).

You should plan to enter at the E Street Entrance. Attendees are encouraged to use public transportation. The nearest Metro stations to the Office of Personnel Management are Farragut West and Farragut North and each are about a 10-15‐minute walk. Additional information for Metro transportation can be found at http://www.metroopensdoors.com

At the E Street entrance, check in with security at the front desk and an OPM employee will be available at the steps to direct you to the Campbell Auditorium (plan to arrive at least 15 minutes before the start time to go through security).

What to Bring:  All attendees must bring a Government PII card to enter the building.  Bring something to write with but handouts will be provided to you at the session. 

There is a snack bar and cafeteria in the building and there are local eateries and food trucks within a short walking distance.
