The Furniture Society's exhibition titled Craft + Design is part of the Society's larger presence in Los Angeles, FS13: LA Symposium. This exhibition is a result of exploring issues critical to designer-makers today: serial production, sustainability, innovation and creative business practices. As we take a glimpse at the intersection of furniture design and contemporary life, works on view embody quality craftsmanship, good design and share the specific goal of being made by hand in a production environment.

The Furniture Society is a nonprofit, educational organization founded in 1996. Its mission is to advance the art of furniture making by inspiring creativity, promoting excellence and fostering an understanding of this art and its place in society.
