May 24, 7-9 pm

This exhibition features paintings by Ed Ruscha inspired by Jack Kerouac’s seminal work On the Road.  Both artists revolutionized the use of language to comment on the shifting character of the American cultural landscape.

Ed Ruscha: On the Road will be on view through September 2, 2012

Ed Ruscha: On the Road was organized by the Hammer Museum, Los Angeles. The exhibition was made possible by a major gift from The Brotman Foundation of California.

Generous support was provided by Lannan Foundation, Michael Rubel and Kristin Rey, The Fran and Ray Stark Foundation and Linda and Jerry Janger.

MOCA’s Knight Exhibition Series is made possible by the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation. Exhibitions and programs at MOCA are made possible through grants from the City of North Miami. Sponsored in part by the State of Florida, Department of State, the Florida Council on Arts and Culture, and the National Endowment for the Arts. With the support of the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs and the Cultural Affairs Council, the Miami-Dade Mayor and Board of Commissioners.
