Chicago Festival of Israeli Cinema
The Chicago Festival of Israeli Cinema (CFIC) begins its 10th annual festival (October 28-November 8) with the January BeviEvent and several other outreach events throughout the year. Its mission is to share a love and appreciation of Israeli culture with the Jewish community and the community at large through the magic of film. In 2014, screenings took place at at the AMC Northbrook Court in Northbrook IL, and at the famed Music Box Theatre in Chicago. Shown every year are Israel's most current, internationally award-winning feature films, documentaries and shorts, with guest appearances by Israeli filmmakers, film scholars, film critics and other film experts. The CFIC is quickly evolving as a catalyst for multicultural dialogue as many of the same racial, ethnic, religious and social groups represented in Israel and in Israeli films also reside locally. The CFIC is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. To learn more about upcoming films, special guests, tickets, donations and more, go to http://israelifilmchi.org
