The focus has shifted to a dialogue about how to create an ecosystem that's conducive to local innovation and development to empower local entrepreneurs, creatives, organizations and individuals invested in the future of their nations, communities and livelihoods.
To do this, we need a systemic understanding of the current system, what needs to change, and who needs to be involved. It needs to be a global conversation but one that needs to start and be lead by Africa.

As a buildup to Nokia's Open Innovation Africa Summit next week, the iHub will be hosting the #OpenAfrica #InnovateAfrica Unconference bringing together thinkers, doers from Nairobi and those arriving from across the globe to discuss worldchanging ideas in the popular unconference format.
