Open Chattanooga Hackathon: National Day of Civic Hacking

Get involved in your city! Open Chattanooga is hosting the Gig City's very own National Day of Civic Hacking Hack-a-thon.
What will we be doing? Citizens, software developers, entreprenuers, and government staff collaborating to solve challenges relevant to Chattanooga using publicly-released data, code, and technology.We’re looking for a cross section of participation to help us reach our goals:
Create a two-day environment for entrepreneurs, app developers, and programmers to create innovative apps and websites using open government data.
Bring together local government officials, municipal employees, experts, programmers, designers, citizens and journalists to share thoughts on the region's open data portal.
- Foster communities of practice and advocacy on the role of the civic innovation, mobile communication, online information, and open data.
