Basics of PleasureStretch System:

SpineStretch Patterns.All patterns are performed with attention on extending the spine. This creates an anti-aging effect as the body is asked again and again to lengthen, literally to grow. The compression relief and increased blood flow in the spine, aided by the core strengthening, develops a healthier spine and more graceful, powerful posture.  Try stretching yourself longer right now and notice how much your mood shifts when you stand tall and breathe all the way up into your shoulders. Your neck can lengthen and your shoulders relax resulting in fewer headaches and upper back and neck pain. The sensuous pleasure of full-body stretches create space for life to enter and reside, producing an almost magical urge to live.

DOSE Breathing. Nothing is more important to maintaining life. We can live weeks without food, days without water but only minutes without air.  Each pattern in the PleasureStretch System completes by taking in and releasing one or more Diaphragm Opening Spine Extension (DOSE) breaths. We learn to breathe deeper than we think we can and break through lifelong habits of under-breathing. Deep, full-body breathing opens the rib cage, gets breath into the upper chest, releases the back with chiropractic-like adjustments, exercises the lungs open, massages internal organs, and sets the stage for deep relaxation with Release Exhales. This breathing sounds like a cork popping out of a bottle as the lips release the breath. An emphasis on pauses between the breaths provides the experience of awareness and inner peace.

LooseBody. All the PleasureStretch patterns ask you to drop all “trying” and instead move energy into natural, relatively effortless patterns. Release Breathing helps your body let go of the anxiety and deep habits of tension that restrict movement, reduce blood flow, burn the nervous system and rob you of the peace you deserve. Chronic stress, another word for it is fear, disrupts nearly every system in your body. It can raise blood pressure, suppress the immune system, increase the risk of heart attack and stroke, contribute to infertility, and speed up the aging process. Long-term stress can even rewire the brain, leaving you more vulnerable to anxiety and depression. This breathing is reflected in the frequent instructions to take LooseBody breaks so your body remembers how to be it’s natural, relaxed size and shape.


Benefits of the PleasureStretch System

Our generation has been blessed by a revolution in fitness and for many of us who’ve had the time, genetics and will to stay in shape we look 15 to 20 years younger than previous generations did at the same age. The PleasureStretch System uses deep twisting movements to create bowel and belly cleansing which produces better digestion, elimination and less dis-ease in the abdomen. Natural, organic weight loss and metabolism regulation occurs as the body is intensely stretched and repeatedly asked to go beyond the limits of old patterns. Establishing lines of energy in the body when you stretch and fully extend helps prevent the stooping over, dowagers hump, distended belly and actual shrinking that often accompanies aging.
