One-Day Anti-Trafficking Training (FAAST)
Saturday, June 1, 2013 from 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM (EDT)
This training is for anyone concerned about human/sex trafficking or currently enagaged in related prevention or aftercare.
The Faith Alliance Against Slavery and Trafficking is presenting a One-Day Anti-Trafficking Training on the campus of Eastern University. This training will feature the Hands that Heal: International Curriculum, providing a comprehensive approach to serving victims of trafficking and educating caregivers so that they may appropriately and effectively provide care and support.
The training will be led by Lisa Thompson, the Liason for the Abolition of Sexual Trafficking for The Salvation Army USA. Lisa is also a contributing author to the HTH curriculum.
Sets of the HTH curriculum will be available for purchase at the training for $35. The curriculum is optional for the training. The cost of registration does not include lunch, but campus dining options will be available.
FAAST is a Christian alliance working in collaboration to eradicate human trafficking and restore survivors. The alliance includes Live2Free, Project Rescue, The Salvation Army, Salvation Army World Service Office, World Hope International, and World Relief.
