Sam Dufaux from WORKac and Kathryn Heaberg from Edible Schoolyard NYC will lead a tour of New York City’s first Edible Schoolyard at P.S. 216, the Arturo Toscanini School in Gravesend, Brooklyn. Explore the half-acre organic garden, kitchen classroom, and greenhouse, and learn about Edible Schoolyard NYC, which partners with public schools to build organic gardens and kitchen classrooms for children to engage in hands-on learning in disadvantaged areas throughout New York City. Edible Schoolyard NYC is a founding affiliate of the innovative Edible Schoolyard Project created by chef Alice Waters in 1995.
