This conference has been postponed.  Please do not register for this conference.   We are working on a reschedule date and are hoping to have it locked in for the Spring of 2014.

The Ohio Behavioral Health Law Conference provides a comprehensive overview of the latest legal and statutory developments and issues involved in behavioral health law and treatment. This conference is designed to provide conference participants with the tools necessary to advise and assist behavioral health clients and behavioral health professionals and organizations providing behavioral health services. The daylong conference offers four plenary sessions and 15 afternoon workshops addressing the legal and clinical interface of issues in behavioral health treatment and their application to behavioral health treatment and practice, client rights, court-ordered treatment, healthcare decision making, confidentiality and the duty to warn, disclose and protect.

CONTINUING EDUCATION

The Wright State University School of Professional Psychology (WSU-SOPP) is approved by the American Psychological Association (APA) to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. The APA guidelines state that a participant may arrive no more than 10 minutes late or leave no more than 10 minutes early to receive credit for a program. As an APA-Approved Sponsor, WSU-SOPP adheres to this guideline.

This conference offers:

  • 7.0 CE credits for psychologists. No partial credit will be given.
  • 6.5 hours of RCHs and CEUs for counselors, social workers, and chemical dependency professionals, in co-sponsorship with Nova House Behavioral Health.
  • 6.5 CLE General Hours
  • This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint sponsorship of Wright State University (WSU) and the Alcohol and Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services Board for Montgomery County. WSU designated this live activity for a maximum of 6.5 hours of AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
