Join us at the release party for the new Ommegang Game of Thrones Fire & Blood Red Ale Thursday, 04/03 at Clinton Hall in the Financial District! A night of treachery and blood lust. Bare bodies and goblets of beer. Knights and dragons. And more beer.

Game of Thrones Fire and Blood Red Ale

American Amber Ale - 6.8%
"I will take what is mine with fire and blood." Fire and Blood is inspired by House Targaryen, featuring a series of labels, one for each of the three dragons: Drogon, Rhaegal and Viserion. Brewed with Midnight Wheat, flaked rye, and spelt as an homage to the nomadic Dothraki people, plus Ancho chilies for some fire. Aromas include ripe fruit, raisins, slight spice and malt, with a slight floral, spicy hop character. Fruit flavors with sweet malt character that gives way to faint dryness balanced by spicy rye and hop characters with an underlying raisin and prune.

Ommegang Wild at Heart

Wild Ale - 8%
Wild At Heart is an audacious new ale in our brewer's obsession series. In a rarely-employed technique we use only wild brettanomyces yeast in primary fermentation - the very heart of the beer. The brett yeast imparts robust fruit flavors and aromas, and combines with Motueka and topaz hops to create uncommon tastes and aromas, Wild at Heart pours a rich amber hue with a full white head. Aromas include mango, pineapple, and passion fruit. Complex flavors present a touch of tartness, carefully balanced with gentle malt sweetness and subtle hop bitterness. For enhanced tartness, simply let the beer age.

Chocolate Indulgence Stout

Stout - 7%
On October 13, 2007, at out Brewery Tenth Anniversary Party (Waffles and Puppets) we introduced Ommegang Chocolate Indulgence Stout to the world. Chocolate Indulgence comes with a thick tan head of foam resting on top of the rich onyx-colored liquid. The aroma immediately speaks of dark chocolate and dark malts. The gentle herbal nose of Perle hops compliments the darker notes, making the beer savory to the senses. The taste continues with the intense Belgian dark chocolate gliding across the tongue; starting sweet up front but giving way to rich cocoa flavors at the back. Through it all, a subtle fruitiness from our special Belgian yeast gives the beer brightness otherwise foreign to a beer style normally associated with gray foggy skies. Lingering chocolate entices the drinker to taste more. Go ahead. Dessert is good for the soul.

Ommegang Adoration

Christmas/Winter Specialty Spiced Beer - 10%
Ommegang Adoration, brewed in the authentic style of Belgian winter, or noel beer, is dark, strong, malty and assertively spiced. At 10% abv Adoration is not a lightweight beer, and is best sipped before a roaring fire, or on a sleigh ride over the hills to Grandma?s house. (But let someone else drive.) It would also be a tasty accompaniment to dark roasts and wild game. Even at the strong abv, the beer is well-balanced and not at all hot or fiery. The dark malts give it lush, malty flavors and aromas, strongly complemented by the five spices, including coriander, cumin, mace, cardamom and grains of paradise. Hopping is modest, as befits such a beer.

Tripel Perfection

Belgian Tripel - 8.9%
Ommegang's brewers spent several years refining their ideas of what a "perfect" tripel would be. In the original style, a Belgian tripel is a golden ale, from 8.5% to 10% ABV, with fruity flavors and aromas coming from the yeast. Tripels are simply brewed, but with great attention to detail. Ommegang Tripel Perfection goes beyond the exquisite attention to detail and adds spices to subtly enhance aromas and flavors. The result is a fine ale honoring Belgian brewing tradition, while also expanding on it in the new Ommegang tradition.

Ommegang Hop House

Belgian Pale Ale - 6%
Hop House pays homage to the historic hop farm that stood on the brewery grounds over 100 years ago. Hop House combines the delicious aromas and flavors of a Belgian-style ale with generous hopping, including dry-hopping. A well-balanced, yet ample, hop character defines this fine pale ale, bringing Belgian-style beer lovers and hop-heads together to enjoy our Belgian-American love child.

Ommegang Three Philosophers Quadrupel

Belgian Strong Ale - 9.8%
Cynics can't believe it, Epicures hail it a sensation, and Pythagoreans just can't add up what makes this luscious blend of rich malty ale and cherry lambic so delightful. It might be the flavor of dark chocolate and cherry cordials; it could be the way it acquires wisdom and grace in the cellar. Maybe it's a conundrum. What's your theory? The essence of wonder is a unique and masterful blend of strong malty ale and authentic Belgian Kriek. Our philosophers deduce that this powerful marriage of cherries, roasted malts, and dark chocolate will only achieve more wisdom and coherence as it broods in the dark recesses of your cellar.

Hennepin Farmhouse Saison

Saison - 7.5%
As you pour this rich golden ale into your glass, consider your surroundings. Are you in a restaurant? Outside on the deck? Is it hot and humid? Cold and brisk? Take a drink. Feel the way Hennepin is bright and lively in your mouth with a warming mix of spicy gingersnap and citrusy hops. Refreshing. Relaxing. It's true: no matter where you are, Hennepin is the perfect ale for all seasons.

Rare Vos

Belgian and French Ale - 6.5%
Occasionally considered the "Dark Horse" in our portfolio, Rare Vos has brought home an award that we are simultaneously grateful for, and feel that it is long overdue. Perenially the "Brewer's Choice" here at Ommegang, the 2008 GABF in Denver, CO saw Rare Vos lauded with a Bronze medal in the French- and Belgian-Style Ale category out of 34 entries. GABF medals are widely considered among the most prestigious in American judgings, and Brewmaster Phil Leinhart and the entire Ommegang brew-staff are filled with pride to be in possession of this award. Way to go, gentlemen! Named after a Brussels bar made famous as the starting point for bicycle and pigeon races, our Rare Vos Amber Ale is also a great place to begin your virtual taste test. As you pour, you'll notice the beautiful coppery-amber color and the rich creamy head. Lift the glass to your mouth and enjoy the aroma of spicy orange blossoms. Taste, and the pleasant mellow flavor of caramel malt glides easily into a dry, hop finish. Once you've finished, start again (after all, this isn't a race).

Ommegang Glimmerglass

Saison - 5.4%
New 2014 Spring release. Deep straw to light amber in color with a thick, pure white head. The saison yeast strain gives off fruity aromas of pear, apple and slight citrus balanced with a delicate floral hop character and a touch of spiciness. Taste is very clean, with pronounced fruit flavors, delicate bready malt followed by welcomed spicing. Crisp finish with lingering yet subtle notes of yeast and touches of fruity pepper.
