Atlanta, GA (October 29, 2012) - The North Georgia Dental Society (NGDS), the Atlanta chapter of the National Dental Association (NDA) will be hosting the organization’s Annual Holiday Extravaganza on December 14, 2012, 7:30pm-11:30pm at the fabulous Andrews Entertainment Complex (Andrews Upstairs 56 E. Andrews Dr, Atlanta, GA 30305). Proceeds from this event will help benefit the scholarship and outreach programs of the NGDS.
The NGDS strives to have events that help encourage membership and cultivate unity of the organization; while also seeking to develop relationships with other healthcare providers, leaders and professionals in the community. This year’s holiday event “The OdontoBlast”, will have a special ambiance and flair in a new setting, with invited attendees comprised of: healthcare professionals, elite business professionals, corporate partners, and supporters. Appropriately titled “ OdontoBlast”, while odontoblast is from dental terminology, this event will be a BLAST; with great networking, entertainment, dancing, heavy hors d ‘oeuvres, premium cash bar and fun, all while supporting a great cause.
The North Georgia Dental Society, formed in 1913, is a local chapter of the National Dental Association. The NGDS, a 501(c)3 organization, shares the missions and principles of the NDA; dedicated to providing students with assistance through scholarships and support programs, in addition to bringing oral healthcare awareness and services to the underserved communities locally and abroad. The North Georgia Dental Society has received numerous accolades and awards for its many initiatives, including: the distinguished NDA Chapter of the Year in 2011, as well as a Proclamation from the Mayor of the City of Atlanta in 2010. This foundation provided the impetus to continue these great works as new leaders and members emerged. The NGDS has cultivated accomplished leaders on the national level, in the community and in other organized dentistry entities. Along with the NDA, the NGDS celebrates 100 years of Progressive Excellence in Diversity in 2013.
