October Nola Food Swap
Saturday, October 29, 2011 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM (CDT)
New Orleans, LA
Its time for our October Food Swap! The Nola Food Swap is a once a month event where local foodies get together and swap and share homemade treats.
This particular food swap is very special because it will be hosted during Hollygrove Market's anniversary celebration!
What you need to know:
Please bring at least five items to swap that are ready to go (packaged for people to take home).
What kind of items can you bring? Absolutely anything that is made from scratch, by you. Good ideas include jam, pickles, cheese, wine, dips, spreads, cured meats, yogurt, bread, ANYTHING! We encourage creativity and deliciousness.
The swap will be set up in the garden and there will be signs directing you where to go. Please drop your items off between 10am and 1:30pm. The market will have other fun events planned throughout the day so check it out!
Also, if bringing perishable items, please make sure to have them in packages that will keep them temperature safe, or wait to bring them a bit before the swapping takes place at 1:30 to allow set up time.
The swap will happen exactly at 1:30pm. Bids will be placed and trading will begin. The swap will be over at 2:00pm.
