Description
Women in Public Finance Los Angeles Chapter October 2016 Quarterly Meeting and Networking Event
Get Prepared for the November 2016 Elections with the League of Women Voters
Educated and informed voters are the key to our democracy. Voting is the most powerful way to have your voice heard, and it is the core of our democracy. It’s your chance to stand up for what matters most to you and have an impact on the issues that affect you, your community and your future. The League works all year, every year, to empower all eligible voters to participate in our political system. This has been one of our most popular WPF events!
The League of Women Voters of Los Angeles will speak to our group to help make sense of these elections, including the "Pros and Cons" of the State and local ballot measures. The speaker program aims to promote informed and active participation in government by increasing understanding of public policy issues and does not support or oppose any political party or candidate for office.
The League of Women Voters, a non-partisan political organization, encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy.
