Speaker: Arlette Hart, CISO, FBI
Speaker Bio: Arlette Hart is the Chief Information Security Officer at FBI since September 2011. As the FBI’s Chief Information Security Officer, Arlette focuses on securely enabling the FBI’s mission – to protect and defend the United States against terrorist and foreign intelligence threats, uphold and enforce the criminal laws of the United States and provide leadership and criminal justice services to federal, state, municipal, and international agencies and partners. Arlette does this by walking the line between sharing and securing the FBI’s information technology assets and data. Arlette builds coalitions across the Bureau, with government partners and with private industry to shape the direction of cyber security and drive innovation across government and industry. Joining the bureau as an employee in 2010 after working with the FBI as a contractor for several years, Arlette is the executive in charge of the Bureau’s operational cyber security program. Arlette directs the information assurance capabilities, ensures baseline compliance and ongoing monitoring for external and internal threats. Arlette’s scope includes insider threat, advanced persistent threats, intelligence, technical discovery, investigation and assessment and mitigation of compromise. Arlette brings technology management and deployment skills to drive effective security architecture from the perimeter to the host.
