Join us for two separate events on Oct 16:
Oct 16 - Debate Viewing Party
Cross Campus, 5:30 Checkin, 6-7:30p Debate. FREE.
Watch the President Obama - Mitt Romney debate, moderated by CNN's Candy Crowley, the first female moderator for a presidential debate since ABC’s Carole Simpson moderated in 1992.
We'll watch the debates live on the huge Cross Campus screen. Tweet hashtags #debates #forwardnotback.
CNN's Candy Crowley will be the moderator. She is the first woman to moderate a Presidential Debate in 20 years. Crowley's selection came after three teenage girls from Montclair, N.J., organized an online (go digital!) petition drive to persuade the commission to pick a woman. More than 122,000 signatures were on the petition when the moderators were announced.
- 5:30p Checkin, 5:45p Introductions, 6-7:30p. Debates.
Before our event, we also welcome our pre-panel Debate Viewing co-host T4O (Tech 4 Obama). Technology for Obama (T4O) works to rally the broad technology community to support the President’s re-election through donations of time, talent and money. Our membership includes luminaries from a parts of the technology and venture capital worlds. Come watch the Presidential Debate with T4O team and sign up for T4O to learn how you can help increase voter registration and voter turnout!
Oct 16 - Women Entrepreneurs Take the Stage
Cross Campus, 7:30-9:30p. $10 Admission.
