Our Community School (OCS) Board of Directors and the entire OCS community would like to invite you to join us on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at 6pm at Knollwood Country Club for our annual fundraiser OCS SuperHeroes: Legends in the Making a Big Night Out to benefit Our Community School. At this year’s event we are pleased to be giving our fourth annual Our Community Civic Champion award to Carolina Goodman and our third annual Our Community Alumni Parent Champion award to Kim Goldstein. Friends, family members, parents, staff, community members and business owners will come together to honor our award recipients for their dedication and work towards quality education for students in the Los Angeles area and specifically at OCS. There will be a silent and live auction, dinner and dancing. Kindly be aware that rsvps are accepted until February 21, 2012 and the evening is for adults only. We hope you will be able to join us.
OCS SuperHeroes: Legends in the Making a Big Night Out to benefit Our Community School fundraiser benefits the education of numerous children this year and for years to come. The financial sustainability and operations of OCS and its mission to provide quality free education to its students is realized when community leaders such as yourself lend their support. This is one of our largest fundraisers of the year and we are counting on the community’s involvement for its success.
If you are interested in showing your support in avenues such as donations, underwriting any portion of the event, sponsoring a table, donation of tickets for teachers and staff, providing scholarships for families who need assistance in order to attend or any other financial giving opportunities, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or (818)920-5285. We will be glad to assist you as well as answer any questions.
If you want to know more about Our Community School in general then visit us on the web at www.ourcommunityschool.org. Thank you for your consideration and support of Our Community School.
OCS is a tuition-free, public charter school where staff members, students and families collaborate in the ongoing process of education. Our diverse and caring community balances academics with creativity, thereby fostering independent thinkers, problem solvers and leaders. We nurture multiple aspects of a child's development: physical, emotional, intellectual, artistic and social. We empower students to become informed and ethical members of our democratic society. We foster community involvement and service as a key to successful living. OCS is dedicated to the quality education of children and in doing so was named 2009 Charter School of the Year in California.
