'What can you make with EarthMake arLCD?'

 

It gives me great pleasure to announce we will be holding a hardware / software hackathon event at the brand new location of Eureka Building in Irvine to explore project ideas around arLCD.

 Eureka Building

This will be a weekend event of fun and learning with the goal of creating a startup product at the end of the event. 

 

I'll be inviting all my favorite designers, coders and engineers that I've met along the way and you will all have access to their expertise.

 

Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner will be provided as well as plenty of schwaag.

 

The first place team will receive a VIP tour of SpaceX! You'll be taken behind the scenes, where few have been, see where and how SpaceX turns raw materials into rockets.

Peter Polydor is an entrepreneur, investor, tech enthusiast and a founder of ERGO Capital Partners. At ERGO, Peter focuses on new investments and portfolio management within technology, media and energy  sectors. Currently he sits on the Board of Directors of ecoPHYSI and Wikipad as well as the Advisory Board for a number of startups. Peter is also the founder of the Eureka Project, a 3 acre tech hub meant to foster innovation and entrepreneurs in Orange County.

Prior to ERGO, Peter was Vice President of SAIL Capital a cleantech venture capital firm headquartered in California. While at SAIL, Peter reviewed new investment opportunities, accelerated business plans and opened new markets by developing strategic partnerships for SAIL.

Outside of investment management, Peter conducted market research at  Citigroup, policy research at the US House of Representatives, was involved in operations and management of privately owned real estate development firms as well as started, built and sold a web-services company.

Further to his work at ERGO, Peter is a Charter Member of the Canadian C100, a member of Orange County Young Executives and serves on the Occidental College Board of Governors, American Hellenic Council Board of Directors, OCTANe Leadership Council, and the Investment Committee of the MaRS Investor Accelerator Fund. Peter was an Edmonson Fellow at the University of Southern California and is a graduate of Occidental College where he earned a B.A. in Political Science with an emphasis on Energy.


At World Maker Faire 2012 in New York we introduced it as the the arLCD. 35 years experience in starting companies in the P.C. and electronics industries. Product inventor, visionary and entrepreneur. My goal is to build or contribute to unique products and companies in embedded electronics including medical, maker, instrumentation and industrial control. A napkin to production entrepreneur. A complete understanding of most hardware and software architectures. Extremely creative and passionate.I have bootstrapped a handful of multi-million dollar companies and developed over 30 products from the p.c., networking, security, home automation. 

 


Michael Sawitz is a serial entrepreneur and founder of FastStart.studio, a mixed use business incubator in Irvine. He has held founder or C-level positions for over forty years in the apparel industry, equipment distribution and retail arenas. Mr. Sawitz has been published nationally, spoke as keynote speaker nationally and has been interviewed on numerous occasion in print and radio talk shows. His charity work includes President of the National Alliance of Ship Centers, board of directors Tech Coast Venture Network, board of directors The Center for Entrepreneurship CSUF, Professional Mentors Advisors and Coaches, and Charter Member of TiE the worlds largest entrepreneurial education organization.  Additionally, he is an adjunct professor teaching Lean Startup Strategies at CSUF.

Dave Gullo

Dave Gullo is the founder and Chief Geek at Command Line Interactive which offers holistic product development services to funded Silicon Valley startups and established tech companies. Prior to launching CLI he bootstrapped and solo-operated a specialty retail ecommerce business in 1998 calledsnowboards-for-sale.com.  Dave operated this with a $0 marketing budget during the 11 years span and innovated online shopping experiences with size-based shopping, live chat, shopping cart abandonment, and advanced customer relationship management tools. 

Dave mentors with 500 Startups and the Chapman Leatherby Center for Entrepreneurship, and Co-Organizes 106 Miles. He is passionate about startups and right-sizing development process for early stage companies, hacking process and productivity tools, wine, drums, snowboarding, and family.

Naomi Grange  has over 20 years of strategic marketing and business development that she brings as Founder and CEO of GIVEvolution®.
