OC AMA Signature Speaker Series featuring Joe Burke from Goodwill of Orange County
Wednesday, February 19, 2014 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM (PST)
Don't Miss Joe Burke Letting Us In On The Secrets How Goodwill Is Going Head-to-Head With Starbucks & Tom’s Shoes… And Winning!
Joe Burke, VP of Marketing for Goodwill of Orange County, shares his success reaching and converting a significant share of young, socially aware adults. As many marketers already know, penetrating this unique demographic can be a very real challenge.
“Stealing Starbucks or How a 90 year-old Retail Chain on a Shoestring Budget Competes for Millennial Love” is an insider’s look at how Burke has actively moved the revenue needle marketing to the Millennials or Generation AO.
With brands such as Starbucks and Tom’s Shoes getting credit for saving the planet and championing social good (deeply imbedded Millennial priorities) , how does Goodwill compete for the minds and hearts of this huge population?
Burke, former Brand Director of Disney Stores and Wet Seal, will share his teams’ journey in aggressively growing an honest affinity and measurably increasing revenues for Goodwill. Joe will also share the power and the pitfalls of working with social media partners, bloggers and cross-functional teams while maintaining a collective mojo.
If you’re looking to engage youth, and measurably grow brand equity and revenues, this is great opportunity to ask questions and hear how teams tackle impossible goals and put mission before ego.
Tasty munchies and no-host bar accompany every event.
