Program: This one day workshop focuses on building observational skills with the goal of strengthening understanding of natural subject matter. Students spend the morning observing, documenting, and collecting objects on the grounds surrounding the Brooker Creek Preserve Environmental Education Center. These objects and investigations become basis for developing visual skills for completed drawings. Whatever natural objects students collect and draw will be the basis for a completed work of art to take home. Instructor demonstrations in a variety of wet and dry mediums will help guide students with each drawing.
