Join us for a special private tour of the ‘White Elephant Sale’ warehouse building. The annual White Elephant sale is a legendary event organized and presented by the Oakland Museum Women’s Board benefiting the Museum. Three prominent Bay Area artists – Vogue, Ernest Doty and Griffin One - have painted an aerosol mural on the Derby Avenue side of the warehouse, depicting pride in Oakland and its Jingletown neighborhood. The mammoth mural fills an entire side of the building, with themes blending nature and urban landscape, and featuring several prominent characters, including a White Elephant! Following the tour is the mural unveiling and an opportunity to hear the artists speak about their work.
• By reservation only, tour is limited to 25 persons. This tour, $20 members, $25 non-members. Joining or renewing members, $10 off member price. Call OHA office – (510) 763-9218 or reserve at www.eventbrite.com
