Impact Simulations is focused on the convergence of Mobile, Games, Training and Work. The flagship enterprise application, LevelsPro, uses game techniques to motivate store associates to “up their game” by increasing their skills and improving their performance. It is being marketed to large branded retail chains to (1) align the thousands of associates to corporate strategies, (2) create a faster path to productivity for the part time and seasonal workers that constitute the majority of the work force and (3) reduce the staggering cost of turnover.
Bounce Exchange is an automated marketing platform that provides online retailers and publishers a final opportunity to extract value from abandoning visitors. At the core of the platform is a patented technology that uses a combination of mouse movements and invisible java script receptors to identify the exact moment that a website has become ineffective/not valuable to a visitor. Once detected, Bounce Exchange prompts an action of value by transitioning a website's content from low to high value as determined by the visitor's navigation history.
Ontodia is creating an Urban Informatics platform for Smarter Cities as it strives to be the "Bloomberg of Big Linked Open City Data." It leverages the converging trends of Open Data, Big Data, Linked Data and Big Cities to convert raw data about megacities into Linked Answers - actionable hyperlocal information. Linked Answers that can be used by businesses, developers, citizens and government to power their applications and inform their decisions. It's leveraging its NYCBigApps Grand Prize win to help realize NYC's vision to become the "Digital City of the Future" - City #1 in McKinsey's Top 600 Cities. After launching its pediacities platform in NYC summer 2013, it intends to take it everywhere.
Julian Cole (User Acquisition):
Julian is the Digital Strategy Director at advertising agency Bartle Bogle and Hegarty New York, and has worked on digital brand executions for some of the biggest companies in the world including Coca-Cola, Unilever, Diageo, Nestle and Universal Music. Julian also wrote the first Australian thesis on Facebook Psychology and was ranked in the top 40 Under 40 Rising Stars of Australian Advertising. Not just a Strategist he also codes and designs a number of art projects in his spare time that can be checked out at byjuliancole.com.
Saneel Radia (Digital Marketing):
Saneel is a proven thought leader in the field of interactive marketing. He most recently helmed the North American division of BBH Labs, the ad industry's leading innovation unit and most influencial agency-run publishing platform. He's worked for large clients like Google, HP and General Motors, has won numerous industry awards, and has been individually recognized for his leadership roles across media, creative and strategy departments at agencies. His role at BBH was vital in their recent recognition as the Webby agency of the year.
Alex Chang (Technology):
Alex served as Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer of New York City based Social Amp prior to it's acquisition in early 2012. He currently acts as Vice President of Social at Merkle, the largest privately-held customer relationship marketing agency in the U.S. In 2007, Alex caught the entrepreneurial bug and joined Daylife, where he worked on Daylife's consumer facing products. During his time there, Alex played a key role in building the Facebook Developer community in New York. Alex attended Columbia University where he studied computer science.
J. Skyler Fernandes (Fundraising):
J. Skyler Fernandes is a venture capitalist at Centripetal Capital Partners, an early stage venture fund with an innovative investment structure, and invests across industry sectors, such as internet, telecom, energy, nano-technology, and healthcare. Centripetal targets an average IRR of 30-50% and maintains a portfolio balanced in return multiples, ranging from 3-20x+ on capital invested. Mr. Fernandes is also the founding partner of One Match Ventures, his personal seed fund. Mr. Fernandes is preparing to launch The Global Innovation Fund, a micro-fund focused on identifying the top international startups, providing the launch pad capital needed to enter the US market and to help turn New York into the “Ellis Island of Innovation”.
Mr. Fernandes has co-founded several internet companies, including CareBooker (Chairman) and CardScan.Me and advises a number of startups. He also leads a number of global initiatives, including the Missing Middle Initiative, launched at the World Economic Forum in Davos, focused on creating funds that invest $100K-$3M, a critical financing gap for early-mid stage businesses globally. He is a venture mentor at ER Accelerator, a New York City incubator as well as the Stamford Innovation Center.
