Chances are that you’ve visited Rockefeller Center before, perhaps many times, but never like this!
On the UPshot safari you will see it from the ground and from one of the tallest buildings in NYC. You begin at St. Patrick's Cathedral with its magnificent Gothic architecture and then on to Rockefeller Center where you will photograph the beautiful Art Deco that makes the Center so unique. The Center is also the home of Radio City Music Hall and Rockefeller Plaza (location of the NYC Christmas tree). Towards the end of your Photo Safari, you will take a ride up 70 stories to theTop of the Rock, which offers the best above ground views of both the Empire State Building and Central Park. During the course of your safari you will also learn how to use lines and angles to turn mundane images into unique photography. This workshop is appropriate for all levels of photographic knowledge from beginners to intermediate hobbyists. Available March-November (Limit 8 participants per safari.)
New York City Photo Safari
New York City Photo Safaris is not your regular walking tour of New York sites and landmarks. Central Park, Empire State Building, Rockefeller Center, Brooklyn Bridge, and Times Square are the staples of a New York visit, but will your photographs do them justice? Your photographer guide will not only show you these sights, but will teach you the skills to capture them in your photographs. You can learn skills such as night photography, macro, composition, and lighting while exploring the Metropolitan Museum, Madison Square Park, the Highline, Grand Central, or Wall Street. We take small groups out with professional photographer guides. See New York through our lens and take better photos home.
