Correspondent, NPR; Author, Vampires Are Us: Understanding Our Love Affair with the Immortal Dark Side
Seeking to understand our nation's more unusual spiritual interests, reporter Adler explores why we love vampires in movies and television shows and how these terrifying fantastical creatures have such traction in our culture — impacting power, politics, morality and identity. Adler is a veteran NPR correspondent heard regularly on "All Things Considered," "Morning Edition" and "Weekend Edition." She reports on the interface of politics and culture, education and art in all its varied forms. She has traveled the world and the backroads of America reporting on those in the margins and those in power.
