Event Details

Ever say to yourself, "I would love to contribute to The NPN Trumpet, but I have no idea how to write an article"?  Well, NPN wants to help you refine your voice with NPN Capacity College presents Community Journalism 101.  Come in with a story idea for our next issue. Leave with a headstart on a fabulous story. Learn the basics from some of the city's top journalism professionals and fine tune your ability to share your neighborhood's stories.

The NPN Trumpet is New Orleans only community newspaper written by neighborhood residents for neighborhoods about New Orleans neighborhoods.  Our network of contributors works to fulfill our vision of community voices orchestrating change. Unlike other publications, we chose to enchance the newspaper by encouraging residents to submit valuable content about citywide issues as seen from the neighborhood prospective. Community Journalism 101 will help make your story that much stronger.
