Katrina Jazayeri and Joshua Lewin have been bringing their unique style of inclusive and warm hospitality, combined with rich history and thoughtfully researched themes, to Boston, MA and the surrounding area for the past year under the umbrella of their Bread and Salt Hospitality, a moniker that speaks to their warm and natural welcoming of guests to their always sold out events.
Katrina and Joshua specialize in revisiting and expanding memories of their past and giving them a full and skillfull update, creating a story worthy of recognition in the most discerning culinary circles. Most notably, bringing Texas culure and cuisine to the heart of Boston on multiple ocassions and partnering with Jeff Gabel to found Kitchen Kibitz, revisiting and modernizing Jewish ideas in cooking and entertaining. And recently, Katrina and Joshua were invited to take part in a collaborative series featuring an ongiong interaction between chefs and musicians TAG (a table for artists to gather).
Sponsored by Boston's iconic Beacon Hill Hotel and Bistro as well as Jeff Gabel's Kitchen Kibitz pop up series, Katrina and Joshua are teaming up with Louisa Shafia, the Brooklyn based author of the award-winning cookbook, The New Persian Kitchen to bring their Nowruz experience to both Boston and for their first time, New York City. Nowruz, or Persian New Year, is a multi day celebration that begins with the first day of Spring. Nowruz is a celebration of family, friends and culture and especially in this case, cuisine.
This event will feature a multi course menu of skillfully prepared renditions of traditional Persian cuisine, beginning with a caviar service amuse bouche, followed by a unique educational journey Persian flavor and culture. The menu, inspired by both Louisa and Katrina's Persian roots, and memories from their childhood meals.

There will be two seatings available in New York on March 30th at 5:00 and 8:00 PM. The three course menu includes a number of additional small tastes in order to fully celebrate the flavors of this unique holiday, drinks will be available for purchase from the venue at additional cost.
Signed copies of Louisa's beautiful book outlining Persian cuisine in both it's tradtitional format as well as with modern updates are available for purchase along with the ticketing options below. Louisa, as well as Katrina and Joshua will be available for conversation throughout the meal.
