When & Where
Cafe Reconcile New Orleans
Since 2000, Reconcile New Orleans has worked to break a cycle of generational poverty by connecting opportunity youth with education and employment. Our signature Life Skills & Workforce Development program, now entering its fifteenth year, has provided thousands of vulnerable young adults, ages 16-22, from across New Orleans with the skills and confidence necessary to earn and retain career-track jobs. These entry-level opportunities are the critical first rung on almost any career ladder for youth to pursue their career dreams.
Our Life Skills & Workforce Development Program integrates multiple services under one umbrella. It is a 15-month program that consists of 480 hours of intensive, individualized intervention, 15 months of case management and 12 months of job retention support. During the program’s initial twelve weeks, students receive an incentivized work stipend tied to key program milestones, uniforms, bus tokens, and two healthy meals per day.
