Now, Now began when high school marching bandmates Cacie Dalanger and Bradley Hale began writing songs together in their hometown Blaine, Minnesota. After the release of their first record Cars, the band went through a hurricane of changes including bouncing between record labels, the addition of Jess Abbott as a band member and a new sound. Now, Now teamed up with producer Chris Walla (Death Cab For Cutie) to release their newest Threads, which received spots on a variety of best of the year lists including “NPR Music’s 50 Favorite Albums of 2012.”
Prissy Clerks have quickly garnered a local fan base with their scrappy 90s throwback sound. This five-piece band layers sweet and sassy vocals over piecemeal reverb guitar. Their first album, Bruise or Be Bruised, came after an appearance at SXSW and garnered ninth place in CityPages’ Picked to Click 2012.
