Agenda (subject to change)

6:45- 7:15PM - Stump the Gurus
Join Gurus Monica Daniel, Adam Bedford, Michael Kammes and Al Mooney as they will attempt to answer all of your questions and solve all of your problems concerning FCS and FCPX, Avid, Premiere Pro and anything else you can think of. If they can't solve your problem or answer your question, then you go home with a problem, but you still got out of the house, so that's not a bad thing.

7:20PM - 7:30PM - Announcements
If we have time, this is your time. Get up and tell us something about yourself. Ask for a job, offer a job. Whatever you want. Keep it brief

7:30 - 8:20 - The NEW features in Premiere Pro CC
And there is a LOT of them. Edit video faster and more fluidly. Brand-new features include an integrated color grading pipeline with Adobe SpeedGrade CC, expanded native format support, improved multicam editing, and more. And who better to show them to us than Adobe's Al Mooney. This is also a chance to ask questions, give feedback and make feature requests.

About Al Mooney
Al Mooney has extensive technical, sales and marketing experience in the media industry. As product manager for Adobe Premiere Pro software, Mooney is responsible for defining, delivering, and supporting the overall feature set and functionality. Earlier, Mooney was the UK senior business development manager for video and broadcast at Adobe, providing technical workflow consultation for top broadcast accounts in the U.K. In that role, he oversaw the redevelopment of Adobe’s video VAR channel, a network of expert resellers and service providers for the Media and Entertainment industry.

Mooney joined Adobe in 2009, after spending two years at Apple as the U.K. Pro Video business development manager. There he was responsible for the communication and go-to-market strategy of video solutions for the U.K. market, working with resellers and customers.

Before Apple, Mooney was European sales specialist at Digidesign, a division of Avid Technology. In this role, Mooney was responsible for the communication of high-end solutions into multiple territories, and managed technical communication between European specialists and engineers in the U.S. He also held earlier positions at Digidesign, including post-production product specialist, EMEA product specialist and marketing representative.

8:30PM - 9:00PM - Break
Brand new lacpug sponsor HDDISK will be showing their storage solutions. Also G-Tech will be in the lobby showing off their solutions. This is your chance to ask questions. No questions? Then talk to each other. The break is a chance to hang out and meet and greet and get your problems solved and who knows, get a job. You never know who you are going to meet at lacpug Snacks and Beer and Wine will be on sale in the lobby. Proceeds go to the Gallery Theater.
