Event Details

September 6th at 6pm at the MNYBA  A Special Free Screening of "Not MY Life"

Not My Life is a ground-breaking documentary on human trafficking. Filmed on five continents, in a dozen countries, Not My Life takes viewers into a world where millions of children are exploited, every day, through an astonishing array of practices including forced labor, domestic servitude, begging, sex tourism, sexual violence, and child soldiering. However, rather than simply offering sobering stories, Not My Life offers hope. Following the screening, there will be a Panel discussion around the question: "What can the local church do to fight trafficking?" The panelists will include Benjamin Skinner, the author of "A Crime So Monsterous: Face to Face with Modern Day Slavery"; Raleigh Sadler, the Director of the MNYBA Justice MinistriesEmily Pasnak-Lapchick, End Trafficking Program Officer, U.S. Fund for UNICEF as well as others. With that said, I encourage you to invite your churches to this special event. Space is limited, so register as soon as possible.

***Given the amount of interest in the film, we have open up overflow seating as well.
