Fine-tune your career path

Join us at a Career Symposium where you can gain insight into the local job market scene, participate in workshops to improve your marketability and connect with hiring employers. These are complimentary symposiums, hosted by University of Phoenix and Phoenix Career Services that will take place in a campus near you.

No matter where you are in your career path – just starting out or advancing in your
field – these events can help you progress in the direction you want to go.

We are fortunate to have Sherrice Gilcreast, SPHR, MAOM (2003 graduate) as our Keynote speaker! Here is more information about her-

Sherrice Gilcreast, SPHR

In her field, Sherrice is known as a creative teacher, motivator, and strategist. Sherrice Gilcreast began her Human Resources career thirteen years ago in the role of Human Resources Representative at Curative Care Network. Since that time, she has held leadership roles in a wide-range of human resources disciplines including: compensation and benefits, administration, training and development, employee relations, and recruitment (in both the for-profit and not-for-profit sectors). Above all, her career focus has been on empowering others to bring their best talents to the workplace. So it is a pleasure to be able to ‘give back’ to the University of Phoenix and speak to the community at the Career Symposium.

Her professional track has led Sherrice to serve as Human Resources Officer at Community Care, Inc., which is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving seniors and adults with disabilities. Community Care not only helps them live independently in their own communities, but also holds a mission that Sherrice is proud to promote.

Sherrice earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Services Administration from Wilberforce University, and she holds the management designation, Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) from the Society for Human Resources Management. And, of course, Sherrice is a proud University of Phoenix alumna, where she earned her Masters of Arts degree in Organizational Management.

Sherrice is also active supporting her community and profession. She is a member of the Society of Human Resources Management and the Wisconsin Society of Healthcare Administration. She is an Adjunct Instructor at Ottawa University. The boards Sherrice is involved in are: she is a board member for Canticle Court & Juniper Courts,{a non-profit housing organization supported by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)}, and the Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority (WHEDA).
