Engagement, donor retention, knowledge retention, volunteer recruitment, raising awareness, effective communication... these are all problems that individually can overwhelm. Luckily there is a common solution: video. When video is seen as short, efficient, and affordable it takes on a whole new role. Whether judged by advancing technologies, return on investment, search engine optimization, or the rising costs of direct mailings it is difficult to ignore the viability of video. So come learn the ropes in a 90 minute training that will discuss the technologies that have made it possible, scripting, filming, editing, and publishing. The best part is, no notes required, we have video tutorials available online that cover all the details. So join in, sit back, and get ready to be empowered by video.
This training will be taught by Anthony Bernas of let’s dabble. let’s dabble’s mission is to empower nonprofits through video. Using free video tutorials they teach the skills needed to produce simple videos for sharing a story, raising awareness, finding volunteers, and retaining donors.
The training will take place at the United Way on 560 W Lake St. Chicago, IL.
