Nonprofit Mergers and Strategic Restructuring (December 5, 9:30am - 11:00am) 

Nonprofit strategic mergers and partnerships have the potential to make nonprofit organizations stronger and to increase their impact. Learn how from this introductory workshop led by Jean Butzen, Pres., Mission + Strategy Consulting (, a Chicago-based expert in nonprofit strategic restructuring. Ms. Butzen will share four examples of a joint venture, a shared service alliance, a parent corporation, and a merger from the nonprofit sector and discuss the pros and cons of each model. She will also briefly explain the process for creating a collaboration agreement with a partner. Participants are encouraged to bring their questions and collaboration ideas they are currently considering for discussion. Hosted by Katten Muchin Rosenman, LLP. Space is limited, Advanced Registration Required.
