Five reasons you need to come celebrate the release of Nom Nom Paleo: Food for Humans with us:
1. THE BOOK:
Crackling with humor and bursting with flavor, Nom Nom Paleo: Food for Humans offers a fun, fresh approach to cooking with whole, nutrient-rich, unprocessed ingredients. We’re proud to have cooked up a visual feast for you, with more than 100 foolproof Paleo recipes and over 900 step-by-step photographs and cartoon illustrations. We love this book, and hope you will, too!
This is the book that made Michael Ruhlman say, "I want to cook Paleo because [Michelle] makes it look so fun!" And in the words of Robb Wolf, “I don’t care if you’re a discriminating foodie or a picky tot: If you’re a human who eats food, you need this book.”
Copies of our cookbook will be available for purchase at the party (while supplies last!), and we’d be thrilled to sign ’em for you. We love this book, and can’t wait to share it with you in person!
2. THE FOOD:
What's a party without insanely great food? We're going to feed you the bestest Paleo brunch bites this side of the Mississippi!
Our friend Simone Shifnadel of Zenbelly is catering the party, and she’ll be sending around plenty of hearty, brunch-y appetizers. I also have it on pretty good authority that Simone’s famous No Joke Dark Chocolate Cake will make an appearance, too. Plus, with generous food contributions from friends of Nom Nom Paleo like U.S. Wellness Meats, Whole Foods, Good Eggs, and others, we’re in for some tasty grub.
3. THE PEOPLE:
Come mingle with your fellow foodies and Paleo nerds! I mean, where else are you going to find such a large gathering of people who don’t eat bean burritos?
Bonus: A number of super-incredible guests will be making the trek to the Bay Area to attend our party, including some of my favorite authors and bloggers like Melissa Joulwan (of The Clothes Make the Girl and author of Well Fed & Well Fed 2), Diana Rodgers (of Sustainable Dish and author of Paleo Lunches & Breakfasts on the Go), George Bryant (The Civilized Caveman and upcoming coauthor of The Paleo Kitchen), Danielle Walker (author of Against All Grain), and others!
4. THE PLACE:
If you're not from the San Francisco Bay Area, don't you think it's time you came for a visit? Book party or no, San Francisco’s kind of an incredible place to kick off the New Year.
And if you're a local, come check out The Box SF—the spot that won SF Weekly's Best Party Venue Award! It's a gorgeous, intimate space located in a historic 1920s-era building that once served as a printing plant for William Randolph Hearst. And we’ll have the run of the joint!
5. THE SWAG:
We've gone swag-crazy, and are pulling out all the stops to make sure that each guest receives an overflowing gift bag. In it, you'll find special items from Pure Indian Foods, Red Boat Fish Sauce, and other Paleo-loving sponsors.
And best of all, each swag bag will contain exclusive gifts from us to you, including a limited edition designer vinyl action figure of Michelle—complete with accessories!
We'll also be conducting prize drawings, so if you stick around, you just might win even more amazing stuff.
Space is limited, so snatch up some tickets for the party before they're gone. This is a can't-miss event. So don't miss it!
What are my transportation/parking options?
The Box SF is conveniently located just two blocks west of the Moscone Convention Center, two blocks from the Civic Center BART/Muni station, and a five-minute drive from Union Square, so it's easily accessible regardless of your preferred mode of transportation! How should I dress for the party?
Comfortably and casually!
Will tickets be available at the door?
No. There are strict capacity limits, so we're capping the number of tickets—and we also want to make sure everyone gets enough food and a swag bag!
Is there an age limit to enter the event?
Nope! If you've got a ticket, you can come party with us!
I bought a ticket, but can't come to the party after all. Can you just mail me my swag bag?
Sorry—the answer is no; only guests who show up at the party will receive a swag bag.
Is my ticket refundable?
No, but feel free to transfer your (printed) ticket to someone else!
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
To make registration as smooth as possible, please bring the paper ticket (or download the Eventbrite app for your mobile device). Everyone who reserves a spot will receive a wristband at the registration desk, which will get them into the party and a swag bag!
The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay?
See the question and answer above!
Can I buy your cookbook at the party?
Yes, while supplies last! An awesome local bookseller, Books Inc., will be on hand to sell copies of my book, which we're more than happy to sign for you at the event!
If I bring my own copy of the book, will you sign it?
Yes! We'll stay until every single book at the event is signed. But please consider supporting our local bookseller, which has generously agreed to staff our event. Who knows? Maybe you'll want to get an extra book or three! :)
