No More Yawning: Designing and Delivering Successful Presentations (1 day Train the Trainer workshop for library/literacy staff/volunteers)

Are people falling asleep or checking their watches during your presentations or classes? This workshop will give you the tools needed to engage your audience and increase learning. Participants will learn to:

1) Recognize audience needs
2) Develop clear objectives
3) Develop presentation content
4) Engage learners through dynamic presentation skills.

Michelle Malizia, Associate Director of the South Central Region for the National Network of Libraries of Medicine from Houston, will teach the class. There is no prerequisite for this class.

If your library or literacy organization is >59 miles away from ODL, a travel stipend of up to $115/night for overnight stay may be available. (Hotel Room Cost + $25 up to $115 total.)  Mileage also may be reimbursed at 30 cents/mile if you are paying for your own gas & cannot collect from your library/literacy organization. Stipend contracts will be made out to the library/literacy organization and it will be your responsibility to collect your reimbursement from such organization.
