April 19 Volunteer Day
- Urban Adamah , Berkeley CA
Under the new moon of Nissan we will celebrate the arrival of spring and the approach of Passover, the holiday marking the Jewish people’s passage to freedom. Our fireside workshops will focus on spring renewal, and will help us prepare for the change of seasons and invite us to imagine how we can liberate ourselves and others.
The Nisan Levanah circle will also feature a Drum Circle with Rabbi Lynn Gottleib! Please bring your own drum, rattles and other percussion instruments. If you don't have your own drum, don't worry! We'll have one here for you.
What to bring: A vegetarian dish to share, a bowl, spoon and mug for dinner and tea. Bring an extra layer to stay warm as it gets cool when the sun leaves the sky. If you’d like, bring your own camp chair too.
As with all events that take place at the farm, please bring a canned food item for our food bank.
Urban Adamah (“earth” in Hebrew) is a community organic farm and Jewish environmental education center located in Berkeley, CA.
