In partnership with the Rockford Aviators, Rockford Park District and the YMCA, the Nikolas Ritschel Foundation is hosting "Nik's Home Run" a 7K Race and 1.5 mile walk on Oct.11, 2014. This is a unique event and sure to be very popular, and we are inviting you to take one step to embrace our mission as a sponsor, runner, walker, volunteer.
“The Northeast Beast”
This course is an exciting 7K (4.35 miles) race through some of the area’s premier sports and athletic venues.
The route starts at the Aviators stadium and winds through the paths behind the Northeast Family YMCA, through the Sportscore Two soccer fields, around the Indoor Sports Center, back through the tunnel, and into the Rockford Aviators Stadium with the final sprint down the third base sideline and across Home Plate with your image on the Jumbotron!
Walkers cross home place too!

Race Results & Awards
Results will be posted on race day and on our website.
$100 cash prize to overall Male and Female 7K Runners. Awards will also be presented to the top 7K male and female runners in each division: ages 5-9;10-14; 15-19, 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65 & over.
Team Prizes: Overall Male Team, Female Team, Coed Team (must have 2 female scores) Please note: Top 4 times will be averaged.
No Discounts on Race day (discounts only available online)
The race will be Bib chip timed. Splits will be announced at each mile marker. Water and first aid stations will be available. Please, no dogs, strollers, roller blades, skateboards or bicycles.
Walkers will not be timed. Walkers will line up behind runners and will start together at the gun.
